Andrew Reynolds draws the crowds at the O2
Andrew Reynolds Bootcamp was the first major seminar event ever to be held at London’s premier arena – the O2 . “It was a gamble for us – as no-one had ever used the O2 for this type of event. In previous years we had hosted our Entrepreneurs Bootcamp events which were attended by 3,500 – 4,500 people – and booking the O2 therefore represented a huge ‘raising of the bar’ for us.” said Entrepreneur Andrew Reynolds – the Bootcamp’s founder
Like any business, we encountered hurdles that we needed to jump over, as we went about planning the event…from postal strikes that set us a challenge of how to get tickets out to the attendees in time (we used Fedex!) to the closure of the Jubilee line on the second day of the event providing transport issues for attendees (we used boats!) ….but despite those and other hurdles along the way – the event was attended by over 7,500 aspiring entrepreneurs.
Andrew Reynolds Bootcamp was held to generate money for the Make A Wish Foundation – the children’s charity that grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.
This year 100% of the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp ticket proceeds were donated to Make A Wish – a staggering £702,158.00 – bringing the total raised by Andrew Reynolds for the charity to over £1.2Million in the last year or so.
Andrew Reynolds said “Being able to put on an event like the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp, to raise awareness and direct financial support for this charity – and to see the immediate results of wishes being granted for some of these children and young people has been an amazing and life changing experience for everyone involved – from the back stage crew, the front of house team and the speakers whop flew in form around the world to help make the Bootcamp such an inspiring event”.
“And for next year?? We’ll have to see……”
